STEM (watchlist): Stem has largely replaced low-margin battery resale with software, edge hardware and services that monitor, control and optimize solar, storage and hybrid assets. The shift drove record 55% non-GAAP gross margin and a fifth positive adjusted-EBITDA quarter, but core Q2 revenue grew only 1%.
