AEP.V (hold): Up 19% from the $0.58 selection, Atlas rebounded from a weak Q1 as Q2 revenue rose 19% YoY to $16.2M, gross margin improved 50bps to 17.5%, opex fell 8.5% and the net loss narrowed to $307k. H1 remains soft, however, with gross margin down 440bps to 12.1% and the net loss widening to $2.04M. The Ontario automation facility expects first roof-truss shipments in September, but liquidity is tight and H2 needs $38M of revenue merely to match last year while the anticipated Canadian housing recovery remains elusive. Rating: 2.75 stars.
