As of August 1, 2003 Premier Bancorp, Inc. was acquired by Fulton Financial Corp. Premier Bancorp, Inc. operates as the holding company for Premier Bank that provides banking services in Pennsylvania. The bank engages in originating loans to small to mid-sized businesses and generating retail deposits from the general public. Its deposit products include checking, savings, and money market accounts, as well as certificates of deposit. The bank offers a range of lending products, including loans secured by real estate and other assets, working capital lines, and other commercial loans, as well as offers various consumer loan products, such as residential mortgage loans, home equity loans and lines of credit, personal lines of credit, and other consumer loans. It also offers other services, such as Internet banking, telephone banking, cash management services, automated teller services, and safe deposit boxes. Further, through its subsidiaries, the bank sells title insurance, as well as offers long-term health care insurance products. The bank also invests in securities, such as mortgage-backed securities, obligations of U.S. government agencies and government sponsored entities, corporate bonds, and municipal bonds. As of March 31, 2003, it operated eight banking offices in Doylestown, Easton, Southampton, Floral Vale, Bethlehem, Montgomeryville, Abington, and Bensalem. In addition, the bank operated a limited service branch in the Heritage Towers Retirement Community in Doylestown, as of the above date. Premier Bancorp was incorporated in 1997 and is headquartered in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
