In April 1998, Continental Homes Holding Corp. was acquired by D.R. Horton, Inc. Continental Homes Holding Corp., prior to the acquisition, was engaged in designing, constructing, and selling single-family homes targeted primarily to entry-level and first-time move-up homebuyers in Phoenix, Arizona; Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas, Texas; Denver, Colorado; south Florida; and southern California. Besides, the company complemented its homebuilding activities by providing mortgage-banking services to its homebuyers and to third parties in all locations.
