As of July 15, 2004, Cable Design Technologies Corporation was acquired by Belden CDT Inc. in a reverse merger transaction. Belden, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets wire, cable, and fiber optic products for the electronic, electrical, and communications markets. The company’s electronics segment provides metallic and fiber optic wire and cable products with industrial, networking, entertainment, OEM, and communications applications. The communications segment provides high-bandwidth metallic and fiber-optic cables and connectivity solutions with communications and networking applications. Belden also serves the broadcasting, industrial automation, aerospace, and automotive markets. Belden was founded in 1902 and is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
