Burlington Resources, Inc. explores, produces, and develops crude oil, natural gas liquids, and natural gas in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, North Africa, China, and South America. Its projects and properties in North America comprise the San Juan Basin in northwest New Mexico and southwest Colorado; the Madden Field located in the Wind River Basin; the Williston Basin; the Anadarko Basin located in western Oklahoma; Permian Basin; the Fort Worth Basin in north-central Texas; and the Onshore Gulf Coast. The company was incorporated in 1988 and is based in Houston, Texas. As of March 31, 2006, Burlington Resources, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of ConocoPhillips Company.
