Beyond.com Corp. went out of business. In January 2002, Beyond.com Corporation filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in order to affect the sale of its two operating businesses, the eStores Group and the Government Systems Group. In March 2002, Beyond.com sold its eStore assets to Digital River, Inc. In August 2002, the company sold substantially all of the assets and customer contracts related to the company's Government Systems Group to Softchoice Corporation. Prior to filing for bankruptcy, the company provided e-commerce technology and services.
