As of June 9, 1999, Amerin Corporation was acquired by Radian Group Inc. Amerin Corporation provided private mortgage insurance coverage to mortgage bankers, savings institutions, commercial banks, and other lenders through its subsidiary, Amerin Guaranty Corporation, as of March 31, 1999. Primary mortgage insurance provided by the company included mortgage default protection on individual loans; and covered unpaid loan principal, delinquent interest, and certain expenses associated with the default and subsequent foreclosure. The company was incorporated in 1991 and is based in Chicago, Illinois.
